Keego Harbor, Michigan  is located inn Oakland County. The city is located along Cass Lake and Kas Lake is connected via a canal to Dollar Lake. The name Keego means “big fish” and the harbor mentioned in the city’s name is  on Dollar Lake. The city spans just under 1 square mile. The area in and around the city is well known for its numerous water recreation opportunities due to its location in the lakes district of Oakland County. Public education in Keego Harbor is provided by the West Bloomfield School District which includes Roosevelt Elementary School.  There are seven colleges and universities within approximately 20 miles of the city. These institutions include Baker College of Auburn Hills, Oakland University and Schoolcraft College. The city has two main parks, Baxter Morgan Park and Fran Leaf Park.The three top spots to dine in Keego Harbor are The Lodge Grill & Bar, Jeremy Restaurant & Bar and Bosko’s Coffee & Kitchen. And, there are multiple state parks for camping, hiking and exploring within 20 minutes of the city. These beautiful green spaces encourage residents young and old to take part in healthy outdoor activities. According to the United States Census of 2010, Keego Harbor was home to 2,970 people and the population density of 5,940.0 inhabitants per square mile. The census of 2000 revealed that the median household income in the city was $46,552 and the median family income was $49,015. According to city-data.com in 2012, the median house or condominiums value in Keego Harbor was $135,716 and the median gross rent was $745.
