Because the city is all-land, with a total area of 3.83 square miles, the Rochester MI real estate business is always active. Some of the most prominent architectures in Rochester are the Opera House (built in 1890), the Rollin Sprague Building (built in 1849), and the Rochester Grain Elevator (built in 1880).

The Pain Creek and Clinton River Trails is one of these places where recreational activities like biking are ever-present. The city also boasts of the Paint Creek Center for the Arts, a non-profit center that promotes artistic excellence by Michigan artists.
